NaNoWriMo, writing a novel in 30 days

A few months ago there was falling down in my hands a newly edited copy of your first book of narrative, “Stories of the Hills”, which Publishing house Eneida has re-edited for the readership in Spanish. As proper Rudyard Kipling was saying:
“There are stories that are to read in silence, and other stories that are to read aloud. There are stories that are adapted only for rainy mornings, and others for long and torrid evenings, when one is put to bed outdoors; there are stories that are stories to go to sleep.”

Publishing house Eneida is of these publishing stamps that they happen unnoticed but which publications are always present in all the bookstores. Occasionally we surprise it with the masterpieces publication in some of your collections, as in this occasion, across the collection “Conspiracies“, and this reprint of “Stories of the Hills”.

Joseph Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) is a writer and born British poet in Bombay (India), son of a British military expert who, also, was a sculptor and potter. At the age of six it was sent to study the United Kingdom, where your adolescence would happen, until in 1882, finished your secondary studies and without being considered qualified to input in Oxford, it returned to the India.
Once there, your father, who was the Director of the National Collection of Art of Lahore and guard of the Museum of Lahore obtained to Kipling an employment of publishing assistant of a small local newspaper, The Civil and Military Gazette.

Drácula of Bram Stoker already has an official consequence

Nine hundred letters of Vincent van Gogh will be published

Vincent van Gogh belongs to those artists who do not need many presentation, since your works, which they already speak themselves, they have found an incalculable value in more than hundred years of exhibition.

For the first time, in all this weather, it has become possible to assemble 900 letters that Van Gogh wrote, illustrated and directed your brother Theo. The ‘Letters to Theo’, as better they are known, they viewed the light partially in 1893, in 1914 and in 1958. Nevertheless, it is today when newly there is had available the finished version of the whole mail of the painter in a format of six volumes with more than 2.000 drawings and in three different editings: in Dutch, French and English.

This work, which many already consider to be the best art book of the year and the biggest illustrated collection of letters of the history, has been a fruit of an effort shared by the Museum Van Gogh de Ámsterdam, and the Institute Huygens, of the Real Dutch Academy of Arts and Sciences.

The broadcasting of this important epistolary work will be carried out of two forms. On the one hand by means of a titled exhibition “The letters of Van Gogh: the artist speaks” in the Museum Van Gogh de Ámsterdam until January 3, 2010. This exhibition will be provided with a sample of 120 letters that include 340 described fields.

And on the other hand, from this October 8 there will put itself at the disposal of the whole world the site www.vangoghletters.org, where the finished works of the painter will appear, and today narrating, Vincent Van Gogh.
